At Iodem, the health and wellbeing of staff and clients is extremely important to us. We are proud that we have been able to maintain an excellent level of service on behalf of our clients, whilst ensuring that our staff and their families remain protected throughout the pandemic.
Our Covid-19 Risk Assessment is published internally and is regularly reviewed as the situation evolves.
The pandemic has created challenges for everyone. At Iodem, we appreciate that challenges including caring responsibilities, shielding and other vulnerabilities require additional support.
Where our staff identify personal circumstances including travel concerns, caring responsibilities or vulnerability issues, we work with them to devise a flexible solution which addresses their needs and those of their family members.
For some members of staff, a prolonged period of homeworking will have an impact on their mental health. Others may struggle as a result of the limits on socialising and family interaction. Through our line managers and the introduction of mental health first aiders, we provide support and practical assistance to help our staff in these challenging times.
We are currently restricting who can access our office space.
Having carried out extensive risk assessments, we have been able to establish bubbles to ensure that there is a limit to the number of people that each individual staff member may come into contact with, and we have implemented protocols concerning ‘communal areas’ such as the kitchen, printer hubs and toilet areas etc.
Hand sanitisers and antibacterial wipes are widely available, and both work rooms and stations have been reorganised to ensure social distancing is maintained.
Increased signage reminds people to maintain social distancing at all times. Other signage provides reminders about frequent hand washing, along with other COVID hygiene guidance.
We are actively encouraging the use of virtual meetings to reduce the risk of the virus spreading and to ensure that our projects are completed within expected deadlines. As a result, we have introduced a number of new tools and processes, we have increased the use of digital storage and expanded our document sharing platforms.
Our aim is to continuously improve these processes, continue to invest in technology to enhance flexibility in the future and empower our staff to be able to work remotely for the benefit of our clients.
